Gov Radda tasks Katsina APC campaign council on grassroots drive for Tinubu’s 2027 bid

-

Katsina State Governor and Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council in the state Dikko Umaru Radda has charged Katsina indigenes inaugurated into the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council to intensify grassroots mobilisation and strengthen support for the President’s re-election.

Gov Radda gave the charge following the inauguration of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council on Wednesday at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa Abuja, where members were formally inaugurated to coordinate political mobilisation and advance the party’s electoral objectives ahead of the 2027 general election.

The governor described the inauguration as a significant call to service, urging the appointees to bring their experience, leadership qualities and political networks to bear on the campaign. He stressed the need for diligence, integrity, resilience and commitment to the party’s success and the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0.

According to him, the responsibilities entrusted to the council members require dedication, strategic planning and sustained engagement with citizens across communities, wards and local government areas.

“Your inauguration comes with significant responsibilities and expectations. I charge you to deploy your experience, leadership capacity and political networks towards effective grassroots mobilisation, wider public engagement and stronger support for President Tinubu’s re-election,” Radda said.

He emphasised that effective grassroots mobilisation would be essential to expanding the party’s reach, strengthening its relationship with voters and communicating the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements to Nigerians.

The Governor also cautioned the campaign council members against political distractions, unnecessary controversies and activities capable of undermining the party’s unity. He maintained that discipline, cooperation and strategic engagement would be critical to achieving the campaign’s objectives.

“You must remain focused, steadfast and united. The success of this campaign depends on our ability to engage meaningfully with the people, work harmoniously with party stakeholders and communicate the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements effectively,” he said.

The governor called for stronger coordination among the various directorates of the campaign council, urging members to work collaboratively in developing effective mobilisation strategies, maintaining consistent public communication and engaging party supporters across the country.

He further urged Katsina representatives to sustain cooperation with APC leaders, elected officials, political stakeholders and grassroots supporters across the state, the North-West geopolitical zone and other parts of Nigeria to build a coordinated and effective campaign structure.

Radda noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0 provides an opportunity to consolidate national reforms and advance economic opportunities, infrastructure development, social welfare and inclusive growth. He urged campaign members to communicate the administration’s policies and achievements effectively while engaging citizens on issues affecting their lives.

The governor expressed confidence in the capacity of the inaugurated members to contribute meaningfully to the APC’s mobilisation efforts, urging them to uphold exemplary conduct, responsible political engagement and purposeful leadership throughout the campaign period.

He reiterated that unity, dedication and collective responsibility would be essential to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and advancing its objectives ahead of the 2027 presidential election, expressing confidence that the members’ commitment would reinforce the campaign’s mobilisation efforts in Katsina and beyond.
