UMYU begins comprehensive rebranding exercise to strengthen institutional identity

-

The exercise is aimed at repositioning the university and strengthening its corporate identity, values and strategic direction amid emerging trends in higher education.

The Secretary, UMYU Rebranding Committee, disclosed this in a statement, inviting members of the general public to submit creative proposals for the exercise.

According to the statement, the rebranding exercise focuses on reviewing key aspects of the university’s identity, mission and vision statements.

It also includes a review of the university’s logo, official colours and anthem as part of efforts to strengthen its institutional identity.

The statement said the exercise was an important step towards building a stronger institutional identity and enhancing the university’s visibility and attractiveness.

It added that the initiative would help align the university with national and international academic and research standards.

The committee therefore encouraged members of the public to submit creative and meaningful proposals reflecting UMYU’s environment, values and future aspirations.

“The Management appreciates the support and commitment of members of the university community and general public,” the statement said.

It urged interested individuals and groups to actively participate and contribute ideas towards achieving the objectives of the rebranding exercise.

The statement said contributions, proposals and meaningful suggestions could be submitted through the university’s dedicated email address and support line.

It listed the email as rebranding@umyu.edu.ng, while the UMYU support line is +234 705 720 8670.

The committee expressed optimism that the exercise would receive broad participation from the university community and members of the general public.
